Many people from all over the world exhibit hair loss. Although many people suffer losing hair resulting from various severe health conditions, some people exhibit this kinds of loss, simply because their body is not getting enough nutrients. One of the nutrients that contributes to hair growth is iron. There was a time when scientists and doctors downplayed the link between iron deficiency and loss of hair. However, recent research has uncovered that there it does exist. Researchers now claim that iron may become the foundation of future hair-loss treatments.
When treated iron hair loss in patients is minimized: this is the conclusion of some recent researches in the field of hair treatment. “I noticed that patients of mine who were suffering from the problem recovered their hair after they started taking iron supplements. Even those who did not even have anemia benefited from it,” said one of the doctor involved in one of the experiments. Although its efficacy has not been entirely proven, the treatment really looks promising. And although the exact amounts of sufferers need to take has not been determined yet, people who are aware of these researches have started taking iron supplements. Many of these people claim that it is beneficial, that they are starting to regrow hair.
Iron is just one of the many things being studied for the treatments. Lasers are also another thing that shows promise for treating it. A group of researchers recently made a helmet that can direct lasers of certain wavelengths to bald spots on one’s head. These researchers claim that regularly putting on this helmet can make a person grow a full head of hair in a matter of weeks. While there’s no proof for their claim yet, some researchers do show that lights of certain wavelengths can stimulate hair growth.
There are other experimental treatments currently being studied today. Although most of them will probably prove ineffective, there is no doubt that some of them will end up showing some promise. Hopefully, these treatments can be furthered developed and become widely available. We have come a long way since the early days of hair treatment. While we still do not have a perfect cure for the problem, it can be said that we are getting there. One day, this will hopefully become a thing of the past.
